About Us

I was born & raised in Camden, NJ. I had a rough beginning growing up (including foster care, homeless shelters, poverty, & much more. I served 4 yrs, 2 months & 30 days in prison, which is where I discovered & studied Barbering & Cosmetology. I began my college journey in prison as well. I was released in 2009. I began working as a Barber in random shops. A few years later; I relocated to the Washington, D.C. area to make a fresh new start in life. All I had was a dream & some Barber equipment. I created a brand (Luxurious Barber). I owned and operated my own Barbershop, taught barbering at an institution, while also graduating (Bowie State University) with a degree in Sociology. I have been a successful barber for approximately 15 years. I lost my mother in August of 2019. That was the beginning of an inevitable healing journey for me. In January of 2020, I began to feel the uncertainty of life, as I knew it to be. The Pandemic destabilized me. I began to question everything in life, especially myself. As a result, I embarked upon an internal “Spiritual Journey”.

I took a hiatus from my craft at the beginning of COVID to: pray, fast & ask GOD for my next steps. I either sold or gave away most of my possessions. A short time after, I received the inspiration to create a business model catered to men, within the beauty industry. GOD said, “Start here & start now!” I did not know what to expect. I also did not have the resources, nor much knowledge on how to build such a company. Last but not least-  It started as a Health & Wellness Grooming Spa & Lounge: & has evolved to be a Health & Wellness Spa & Retreat Center.  What started off as offering services, transitioned into (servitude). We are committed to your transformation through the process of healing: mentally, emotionally, spiritually, & physically.
